Spring 2015 mini sessions | Rochester NY Family photographer | Kids photography Rochester NY | March 30- April 4

It’s snowing this morning, so of course, I’m itching to get outside and do some spring Mini sessions! So, I’m announcing Spring 2015 mini sessions in a pathetic attempt to pretend there isn’t more white stuff on the ground! Spring is my favorite season! I love when everything comes alive, and Rochester is incredible during the spring! I am only able to do a limited number of sessions due to my pregnancy, so book yours soon!

There are several locations we can use around town! Highland park (pictured in the bottom photo) is always wonderful this time of year, and so is oxford street (pictured in the top photo)! There are so many other incredible locations around town though! Lets book a session and explore all the beauty Rochester has to offer this time of year!:)

Here it is, finally! The infertility and loss project is completed!

I have poured my heart and soul into this project over the last few months. Finding people who would want to share their story of infertility and loss, and putting it into a story to share with all of you. My husband and I have journeyed through infertility and three pregnancy losses. This is something very near and dear to my heart. I’ve often found it difficult to put my emotions into words, and share our stories with others. It is my hope, that through this project we can break the silence. A loss is a loss, no matter how young your baby is.

Feel free to share the video with your friends and family, or through social media. We are using #infertilitylossproject to keep up with where it is!

It is my hope that you will be encouraged, blessed and strengthened from hearing these stories. If you are among the 1 in 6 dealing with infertility, or the 1 in 4 dealing with pregnancy loss, please know you aren’t alone. A team of us are available on email at We would love to hear from you, day or night. The infertility and loss project has been my hearts song for a long time. I am so thankful to finally share it with you all.

Break the silence.

Love to you all!

Amazing. I have been dealing with a lot in our journey to become parents and this video really touched me. I choked on the part that said “I am praying for you.”
    You did an awesome job!ReplyCancel

This was amazing! My heart breaks for these families. My journey was not has hard, but hearing that you and your husband have less than 1% chance to get pregnant on your own really hurts. I did ICSI twice and got two children from it. I love them very much and am very grateful for the possibility that science has given us so that we can have children. Love this video and I hope that this touches as many people as much as it touched me!ReplyCancel

I want to share a story of the faithfulness of God and His unsearchable ways. My husband and I are missionaries in Ecuador. We tried for two years to get pregnant without results. Then finally it happened! I prayed that this little one would know God from a young age…and that prayer was answered at 11 weeks we found out that baby was already in Jesus’ arms. Then I prayed that through this little life someone would come to know Jesus. Three months later that prayer was answered when we got a call, “Do you want a little girl? Can you come meet her right now?” A week later we welcomed an amazing (and challenging) 10 year-old girl into our home in a foster care like arrangement. This was not MY plan…but it was HIS. Sometimes I think that God allows some people to “share in his sufferings” in special ways so we can know Him more. Just think about it; He gave up His only son to die, so that He could adopt us. It still doesn’t make much sense, but you can’t mistake the hand of God in it.
And by the grace of God, at the end of April, we will be able to welcome a “homemade” child!ReplyCancel

Pay what you can Mini Sessions | Rochester, NY Photographer | Mini sessions

If you’ve been around here for a while, then you already know that I LOVE giving back. I decided a long time ago that photography wasn’t about how much money I could make, it’s about my passion and blessing others with the gift that I know God has given me.

Last year, I was able to giveaway TWO Senior sessions for seniors who would not otherwise have gotten senior photos done. This year, I wanted to give back to a more wide variety of people who follow my page.:)

So, here they are! Pay what you can Mini Sessions! Sessions will be held on October 4, 2014. Location is TBD depending on weather! I’m hoping the weather will be gorgeous and we can use an outdoor location, but if its not, my studio is incredible too!

Pay what you can Mini Sessions

All of the “pay what you can” mini sessions include the following:

~ 20 minute session. I will take as many photos as time allows.

~ 10-15 edited images in an online gallery 10-14 days after your session. Galleries will remain live for THREE days, after that you will be required to pay $20 per day to keep your gallery open.

If you are able to only pay the $50 retainer, no worries! You will get 1 digital file with your session, and the option to purchase prints at a discounted price!

If you are able to pay $75 you will get 3 digital files with your session, and discounted prints.

$100 will get 5 digital files and discounted prints.

$150 will get all digital files and discounted prints.

These prices are deeply discounted from my normal rates! There are no “catches” and its not too good to be true. I really, really just love giving back. And if I can gift your gorgeous family with a mini session then I would LOVE to do that! Everyone should have gorgeous portraits in their home, despite their budget.

Using the Learning Tower | Rochester, NY  | Learning Tower by Little Partners | Rochester, NY Photographer

Last night, I was making dinner and Kaylee was running around the kitchen being an absolute nut, “zooming” around the kitchen table. I decided to calm her down by grabbing her learning tower and let her participate in making her own dinner, French bread pizza. On his way home from work I had my husband pick up a loaf of fresh bread from Martusciellos! Jim and I were having meatball subs with homemade meatballs, and decided to make Kaylee pizza out of it, her favorite meal! I cut the bread up into two small pieces for Kaylee, grated the cheese for her, and let her go to town making her own pizza! She was SO excited to participate in dinner, normally she just watches or plays with one of us while the other makes dinner.

Using the Learning Tower

My little Italian baby loved putting the mozzarella cheese on her pizza.:)I love how hard she’s concentrating on making sure her pizza has just the right amount of cheese on it.

Using the Learning Tower

Sometimes sampling the pepperoni is required before you can place it on your pizza!:)

Using the Learning Tower

Her finished product, with the bites taken out of her pepperoni(LOL!). She was SO proud of herself for making dinner, we haven’t thought to let her help us with dinner in the past. So glad we have a learning tower, to make her safer while she is playing and learning.

Using the Learning Tower

Watching her pizza in the oven. I really have no idea where that other piece of pepperoni went between the before and after baking pictures. 😛 She must have swiped it and ate it while I was putting my camera down so it didn’t end up in the oven.:)

Thank you, learning tower, for making it possible for my baby girl to work side by side with me in the kitchen. And for enabling her to grow and learn! She ate every bite of her pizza last night, and kept telling daddy (who was outside closing the pool while I was making dinner!) how she made the pizza. Love watching my baby girl grow up into such an incredibly, loving little girl. She is so passionate about the things she loves… I wonder where she gets that from 😉 We absolutely love using the learning tower!

Danielle’s full figured Glamour session | Rochester, NY Photographer | Plus size model

This is my big sister, Danielle. She is the beautiful mother of a 16 year old boy.  She sings, plays flute or guitar for our worship band at church. And sometimes she plays guitar for her husbands band when she’s needed. She works extraordinarily hard to provide for her family.  This is my third session with my sister, and this one is by far the best. I’m sure you’re thinking ” what changed?” It sounds so simple, yet its so hard to accomplish. This time, Danielle was comfortable in her own skin and that showed through the beautiful portraits I was able to capture for her! Its taken Danielle many years to be confident in front of the camera, and it has definitely shown in past sessions with me. While I have always been able to see her beauty, if you don’t, then your pictures aren’t going to be as beautiful. Amazing how a little thing like confidence can show easily in a photograph.

Danielle Plus Size Glamour

Danielle really wants to encourage other women with her full figured glamour session, so she wrote this note to you.

“I am from a family of overly skinny people and it stinks to be standing next to them in a family picture not only am I plus size but I am also the shortest! I have always hated to have my picture taken, being plus size, most pictures just make you feel shorter, fatter and just plain frumpy. Over the last year I was diagnosed with health issues that cause my weight issues. I was made this way by my Father I am not lazy, I am not stupid. I have begun to accept that I am beautiful in my Fathers eyes and thus am becoming more accepting of myself. I have begun to make an effort to not look frumpy, when you are plus size covering up your curves just makes you look bigger. My husband has been very supportive and wants me to show off (within the limits of modesty of course) and has told me for years that I am beautiful and now I am starting to believe him. Melissa (who also happens to be my sister) did a life changing photo shoot with me. I took the effort to do a careful job with my hair and makeup, and chose some outfits I felt great in. Melissa also was very helpful in posing me in a way that I was comfortable in and didn’t make me feel fat. For the first time ever I LOVE my pics! Thank you Melissa for an enjoyable photo shoot and amazing photos to show off. I even had a couple special ones done for my husband, which would have been WAY too much out of my comfort zone even a year ago!”

Danielle Plus Size Glamour

“Be confident in the skin you are in, because that is the only body you will ever have, the only place that will ever be solely yours. Even if you will never be as skinny as those super models, or the beauty who makes everyone stare, you can be beautiful in your own way. And you have to accept that, and own it.”

Beautiful! I also have a health complication that make it hard for me to lose weight. Your note, photos, and confidence are so encouraging Danielle!ReplyCancel

Thank you for your kind words. I know the path to being healthy is not an easy one. But remember you are made perfect in HIS eyes. While being healthy and feeling well is a priority. Trying to make yourself into something you are not is setting yourself up for frustration and failure!

The first step is learning to be content with how you were made and where you are in this season of life. Once you are, then the rest will be a joyful transition!ReplyCancel
