Sam One Year Session | Highland Park | Rochester, NY
We met in Late May at Highland Park to do Sam’s One year session. Sam is such a little ham and loved being in front of the camera and the center of attention! He is such a sweet boy!
Sammy was just starting to walk when we did their session. So he was very wobbly. I love wobbling babies!! Its so cute to watch them grow up into these sweet little people. And Sam is no exception! I have been photographing the Fuller’s since before their oldest daughter Melody was born. I have grown a lot as a photographer, and they have grown into a beautiful sweet family. I am so thankful they are my clients and friends. =)
Isn’t his monkey outfit just adorable?! I almost melted when I saw it. I am a sucker for babies in overalls.
I asked Amy, Sam’s mom, a few questions for anyone who is going to book a session with me.
What’s one piece of advice you’d give to anyone getting their family photos taken?
Have patience. Kids do not always do what you want them to do. My husband and I always come prepared with toys or things we know will make our kids smile. It’s also good to have more than one person with you, especially if you have more than one kid. This way one person can help with the child who is getting their pictures taken while the other can wrangle the other ones. Did you take any props or try to incorporate any activities that you’re family are involved in? We have always brought some sort of prop with us to our photo shoots. We are huge Disney people so we usually always bring something that has to do with Mickey mouse. Or sometimes we will bring something that will coordinated well with the outfits the kids our wearing. One time we brought our red white and blue teddy bear that matched our daughters dress.
Any tips on how to prepare for the session?
Working with Snap in Time Photography you can get more out of your photo sessions than if you go to a studio. They will work with you to incorporate whatever you want to do. Make sure you know what you want. Tell them you’d like to bring a special item or ask them if you can have more than one sibling in a shoot. Also plan ahead. Know where and when you want to do your shoot and have other options available, especially for those rainy days.
