Learning Tower Popcorn Stand | Rochester, NY Photographer
When we got our little partners learning tower in June we also received the popcorn stand and puppet show playhouse kit! This week, for the first time, we were able to use the popcorn stand “half” of the playhouse! The play houses attach REALLY easily to the learning tower. To attach them you put the kit of your choice over the top and tie it on each of the posts, each corner has two ties to make sure the playhouse kit doesn’t slip off. You can see in the left photo below one of the strings from tying it to the learning tower! So, you can just attach the playhouse in a few minutes and let your little one(s) creativity do the rest of the work! Each of the play houses have two sides, so depending on what your little ones want to do you have two creative play options! We have both of the play house kits, the Popcorn stand and puppet show – as well as the ice cream and lemonade stand playhouse!
My 2 year old daughter, Kaylee, has been requesting popcorn as her daily snack for the last week or two, so when she requested some for her afternoon snack on Thursday I thought it would be a fun time to take out her learning tower and do some creative play! I attached the playhouse kit in about a minute, then we popped a bag of microwave popcorn together, watching the bag get bigger and bigger in the microwave. Once the popcorn was done, we moved shelf down lower on her learning tower so I could see her face in the opening of the popcorn stand. I also placed the learning tower in front of the window for lighting purposes, and she climbed in and munched away on her afternoon snack! She was having a blast playing peek-a-boo around the corners, and sharing her bowl of popcorn with mommy. I kept “ordering” popcorn from her. Sharing is such a hard concept for toddlers, so we were sharing her bowl back and forth, and she thought it was hysterical for mommy to ask for the bowl, have a popcorn kernel and then give it back to her and snap a few photos.
I absolutely love the versatility we have with the learning tower. I am not a fan of clutter or having too much “stuff” in my house, I crave simplicity in our technology craved world. The learning tower gives my husband I the ability to be creative with her and use her tower in different ways, so she can learn that as long as she thinks, she can create any scenario her little heart desires. I love that the playhouse kits fold flat and fit right underneath the learning tower so we don’t have extra clutter too! If we had a lemonade stand, an ice cream stand, a puppet show and a popcorn stand in our house as separate toys, our house would be overrun with big toys, but we aren’t!
When her learning tower is stored in its corner in our kitchen Kaylee is constantly climbing her learning tower and turning the lights off and on. It’s given her the ability to be independent and learn how things in our house work on her level. If you are considering purchasing a learning tower by little partners, you will NOT be disappointed.
