Learning Tower Popcorn Stand | Rochester, NY Photographer

When we got our little partners learning tower in June we also received the popcorn stand and puppet show playhouse kit! This week, for the first time, we were able to use the popcorn stand “half” of the playhouse! The play houses attach REALLY easily to the learning tower. To attach them you put the kit of your choice over the top and tie it on each of the posts, each corner has two ties to make sure the playhouse kit doesn’t slip off. You can see in the left photo below one of the strings from tying it to the learning tower!  So, you can just attach the playhouse in a few minutes and let your little one(s) creativity do the rest of the work! Each of the play houses have two sides, so depending on what your little ones want to do you have two creative play options! We have both of the play house kits, the Popcorn stand and puppet show – as well as the ice cream and lemonade stand playhouse!

My 2 year old daughter, Kaylee, has been requesting popcorn as her daily snack for the last week or two, so when she requested some for her afternoon snack on Thursday I thought it would be a fun time to take out her learning tower and do some creative play! I attached the playhouse kit in about a minute, then we popped a bag of microwave popcorn together, watching the bag get bigger and bigger in the microwave. Once the popcorn was done, we moved shelf down lower on her learning tower so I could see her face in the opening of the popcorn stand. I also placed the learning tower in front of the window for lighting purposes, and she climbed in and munched away on her afternoon snack! She was having a blast playing peek-a-boo around the corners, and sharing her bowl of popcorn with mommy. I kept “ordering” popcorn from her. Sharing is such a hard concept for toddlers, so we were sharing her bowl back and forth, and she thought it was hysterical for mommy to ask for the bowl, have a popcorn kernel and then give it back to her and snap a few photos.

I absolutely love the versatility we have with the learning tower. I am not a fan of clutter or having too much “stuff” in my house, I crave simplicity in our technology craved world. The learning tower gives my husband I the ability to be creative with her and use her tower in different ways, so she can learn that as long as she thinks, she can create any scenario her little heart desires. I love that the playhouse kits fold flat and fit right underneath the learning tower so we don’t have extra clutter too! If we had a lemonade stand, an ice cream stand, a puppet show and a popcorn stand in our house as separate toys, our house would be overrun with big toys, but we aren’t!

When her learning tower is stored in its corner in our kitchen Kaylee is constantly climbing her learning tower and turning the lights off and on. It’s given her the ability to be independent and learn how things in our house work on her level. If you are considering purchasing a learning tower by little partners, you will NOT be disappointed.

Jamberry Nails giveaway | Rochester, NY Consultant | Rochester NY photographer

Jamberry nails have been all the rage lately! They are super popular, and for a REALLY good reason. I HATE wearing nail polish. It smells bad, it doesn’t last for more than a few days without chipping on finger nails, even if you go to a salon to get your nails done.  I had a Facebook party after seeing how awesome my friends party did! And I completely fell in love! Each sheet is kind of pricey, at $15 a sheet, BUT You get 2-3 manicures and at least 2 pedicures from each sheet. When was the last time you went to the salon for a manicure and pedicure and paid $15?! (Never, right?).

Right now, my amazing friend Susie is running a fundraiser for my sweet and beautiful nephew who is having a rough start to life in the NICU in Orlando, Florida. If you want to take part of the fundraiser click here . 25% of all sales are going to my baby brother and sister in law to help them with the financial burdens that come with having a child in the NICU.

A quick note from Susie

Hey all I wanted to tell you a little bit about myself . From September to May I work as a freelance American Sign Language Interpreter mostly in educational settings so I have the summers off to spend with my boys (ages 8 and 5).  Because of my “day job”  I generally try not to do my nails in anything distracting if anything at all. However, there is just something about having your nails done that makes me feel good. So I usually got gel french manicures ($35) any time I could (which was not often). Now that it’s summer I am able to dress up my nails BUT I’m not working so I can’t afford it. About a month ago I was invited to a facebook jamberry party and I KNEW this was my answer… FUN NAILS AND I GET PAID TO DO THEM!!! I had to join although I was concerned what would happen to my jamberry business come the end of summer. I am no longer worried because I found the jamberry french tips and I will NEVER go back to gel!!!! $15 for 2-3 manicures…for me that is PERFECT!!!! Here is what my first removal and new application looked like last month. I hope you all love jamberry as much as I do!!! Lets help raise some money for Gaius’ family!!!!

This week we have TWO Giveaways! The Giveaway runs from July 14 at 8:00am to July 18 at 8:00pm!

Cloth Diaper Giveaway | Little bumblebee cloth diaper |

So many awesome giveaways this week! This is a cloth diaper giveaway from Jaclyn at Little bumblebees!  Check our her Etsy page if you want to see other diapers she has available!

I’m Jaclyn Erickson, owner of the Little Bumblebee and a LPN. I’m married to a wonderful man, and I’m a mom to one sweet wild girl.

The Little Bumblebee started just after I had my daughter in 2013. Its funny how children can make you so aware of the things around you. I wanted everything healthy for my daughter. Which meant eating organic, cutting out the bad junk, and cloth diapering. I bought a enough cloth diapers to get us by but I wanted more choices for patterns. something other than the main stream patterns. Me being the crafty DIY set out to make my own cloth diapers, and thus The Little Bumblebee was founded.

Masterpieces Of Fun Art Hair Bows | Etsy seller | Rochester, NY Photographer

I have purchased many items for my daughter from Masterpieces Of Fun Art Hair Bows and hair clips! I absolutely love the quality of Simone’s products! I’ve yet to have one of her clips break or fall apart. They are adorable, and really well priced! Plus, she is an absolute sweetheart and a breeze to work with!

Here’s a little about Simone!

My name is Simone and I’m a stay-at-home mom of a 6 year old boy and a 4 year old girl.

Before kids, I had a “real” job in the finance industry, working long hours and traveling most of the time. When my son was born in 2007, I was lucky to be able to quit my job and stay at home with him full time.

I started my business, Masterpieces of Fun Art, in early 2008 and it was quite by accident. One day I was shopping with a friend and she picked up a bow, showed it to me and said “I bet you could make this” and that’s how this whole thing started. I went to a craft store the next day, bought some ribbon and clips and started making bows.

I have loved to make things for as long as I can remember and I’ve always wanted to own my own business so I started Masterpieces of Fun Art and opened my Etsy shop. This is pretty much a dream come true for me because I get to spend lots of time with my kids and be an entrepreneur. Everything you see in my Etsy shop is made my me – usually when my kids are at school or sleeping – and I also take the photos, write the product descriptions, pack the orders and do everything else it takes to run my business.

I hope you enjoy looking through my Etsy shop just as much as I enjoy making everything you see in it!

This week’s giveaway runs from Monday morning at 5am (7/7/14) and ends on Saturday at 8pm (7/12/14)

Each sets of clips is a separate giveaway! Make sure you follow ALL the steps below to be entered to win!
